David Daughtry Records at Kent’s Studio

One of the last projects I worked on before my studio was dissassembled for renovation was with David Daughtry,  a young talented singer/songwriter from Georgia. David is the son of well known singer/pianist Terri Gibbs, whose long running recording career  goes back to the early 1980’s. She is best known for her song “Somebody’s Knockin’.”  Terri also paid a visit to the studio during the recording and Kent, David, and Terri enjoyed an impromptu “jam session.”

David recorded a great version of Conway Twitty’s “Goodbye Time” and an original song entitled, “We Walked Close.” David is currently attending college and finishing up an agriculture degree and when possible appears at some of his mother’s shows.  I am looking forward to writing and recording more with David.
